I just wanted to share the trailer for the film that Ive spent the last 2 years slaving over. Its silicone puppet animation and I made the puppets, built a lot of the sets and animated on it. I also had the wonderful help of Nick Hilligoss in the animation department who was an absolute joy to work with and I thank my lucky stars that he wanted to be involved:)
Great trailer Isabel looking forward to the finished film
I agree with the general consensus! It looks excellent!! Really looking forward to seeing the work you and Nick have been doing. Oh, and welcome to the board! Glad to have you here among us!
It was a lot of hard work. I made most of the sets and puppets as well as animating 2/3rds of it myself so its been a pretty crazy few years:)
wow this looks really good, tense and scary!! like everyone else, i cant wait to see the finished film. any ideas on a realise date?
This looks unbelievable. Very inspiring for a newbie like myself.
The film is just starting to do the festival rounds so it will only be available at film festivals for a while. After that Im not sure how I will release it. It depends on distribution ect. Will definitely update my page with new screenings ect.
Hey, how about a complementary copy for the crew? I've only seen it in it's finished form once, when it screened at the Melbourne International Film Festival, and that's not enough! Also, I believe you may have made a few minor improvements since, that couldn't be done in the rush to deliver it for that screening? (MIFF had taken the unusual step of saving a place in their festival for a film that wasn't anywhere near finished yet, they were that impressed with what they saw, so it was a mad rush to get it there on time as promised.)
Isabel did indeed do by the greater part of the animation herself, as well as direct us hired hands pretty closely for the few shots she didn't do (John Lewis to begin with, then me when funding came through for his own film and he had to go and focus on that). It was very much her vision in all respects.
Looks great, can't wait to see the finished project.
