i am well under way with the making of my armature, if you have not seen my stuff heres a link http://home-before-dark.blogspot.co.uk

but i was wondering if anyone had any tips or ideas for eyes?

it has started to concern me that every time i remove the mouth section of the face, the eyes fall out

i have tacky wax but i wanted to make a more permanent fixture like a little ball joint set up but i am struggling with out i will make a connection in the back of my eyes.

i have been looking at loads of pics of coraline and paranorman so i have an idea but was wondering if anyone had a making technique?

Ring magnets for sockets maybe? And eyeballs made from steel ball bearings or filled with metal shavings or something. Or magnets in the eyes and steel washers in the sockets.

Sorry for how I burst out laughing @ the image of the eyes falling out every time.. It's really not funny. No seriously, it's not. Ok, I can't stop..

Poor little guy!

ahh yes great idea with the ring magnets, i like that a lot.

i know its pretty stupid of me to not think about it.

cheers strider you pool of infinite knowledge.

Poor little guy!

i have sorted the eye problem, thank you for the advice. heres the link to my blog if you want to check it out. http://home-before-dark.blogspot.co.uk/2013/03/magnetic-eyes.html

That's a good idea, that's sort of a design I had though of(ecept the other way round),just haven't made it.I was planing on using plain carbon steel ball bearings and a simple part machined to hold them/let them "seat in" with magnets on the back side.Yours is more simplified I think, looks great!

Nice Mark!
