I've been itching to do a quickie little animation shot with one of my Cyclops replica puppets for quite awhile now, so I took a day and a half to set up and bang one out. I'll post the finished clip when the compositing is done in a few days, until then here are a few behind the scenes pics.

Friggin' hell! That looks amazing - can't wait to see him in motion.

Incredibly good likeness! I will look forward to this!

Am I missing something here, I'm Not seeing where to embed pics and such directly into the thread.... instead of as attachments

When you're typing in the white box, the row of icons across the top of it - you want the second one. It's supposed to look like a little picture.

I gotta say though, with attachments the pictures are nice and HUUUGE... they deserve to be seen that way!! Amazing work sir!! Can't wait to see him alive!

That's funny cuz there's no row of icons or anything above the white text box..... oh well, for you Strider attachments it shall be! Here's a composite test frame

Maybe some browsers don't get the icons?

Nice bit of real rocky beach landscape there.  Composite looks nice and clean, but the lower legs look a bit too front-lit.   There's a foreground rock that can disguise the lack of a shadow on much of the ground, but the feet still look like they need some shadow to anchor them.  I like to use a bit of model ground for the creature to walk on, where it can throw its shadow naturally.

LOL!! Well, ya gotta keep in mind this was literally a last minute decision to try and quickly get something animated with the puppet before I had to box him up and ship him out to his owner..... I would've liked to have had an extra day or two to do some groundwork, but there will be a composited shadow

This is exceptional,  can't wait to see the video!

I saw this over on Facebook and it's awesome. How about a celebrity death match Kong vs Cyclops.

I didn't know this was a commissioned job - they would have to be really thrilled at the quality they are getting! So, it's a really good idea to get a few moments of animation before he gets shipped off.

Yeah, I do these puppet replicas for collectors, I might be doing another one fairly soon and I've got another shot in mind that I will actually plan for this time and take a little extra time to do instead of rushing.

Unbelievable work! If Ray knows about this he should be very proud!
