Am trying to source one of two things for the ever lovely and gifted students at the Bristol school of animation. We use pin down puppets in training exercises, and I have been using regular polystryene to pin their feet in place, but it is not ideal, as it breaks up easily, and does not grip the pins well. I was lucky enough to teach in Budapest again this year, at the Mome University, where they have this excellent cork sheeting attached to the tables, and it works like a dream on my little pin down training puppets. However, they have had it for years and no one remembers where it came from! I am working hard to source one of two things...
1) A UK supplier of cork sheet, must be one inch thick. (and sticking a load of thin sheets together does not work!)
2) Failing that, the a suggestion for an alternative material.
Any help or ideas would be welcomed!
These sundeala pin boards are an option. Does anyone else have any suggestions? I'm also interested in this.
John Lewis do a cork bathmat for £10, not sure how thick it is.
