First of all I'm sorry for intrusion.
I need some replies to some questions from animators for my masters!
If you could answer some questions about you work it would be really helpful!
(1-5) 1=not important 3- neutral 5-Very important
just copy paste! Thank you! and I'm really sorry for the trouble!
If you want to help you can either send me a message or reply here!
Animations you have worked on:
Position in the team(s):
For you! What is the major difference between stop motion and Computer animation
Is it important to leave clues like fingerprints and small defects so audiences know that is manufactured (1-5)
Stop motion benefits from 3D Printing (1-5)
Should Stop motion use CG effects Yes/No (just a little is a yes :P)
having a Making-off is important (1-5) | Why...
For you! What's is more important in one animation, Lights or Sound
For you! What is more important, content or technique
How important is the recognition, what I mean is...is absolutely necessary that both puppets and sets follow the same style/ appear to belong to the same family (1-5)
How important are the laws of animation (1-5)
For you! what has more fluid movement wire armature or ball & socket (1-5)
after answering the above question do you think the materials should be applied according to the function of the puppet (Silicon, Latex Foam, Latex) meaning one needs to know how they behave? yes/no
I don't want to bother you with more questions... BUT
Would you be willing to answer more and don't think I would be abusing? Yes/No
At the risk of starting another controversy - How do you rate Shemp, Strider?
Just as well I'm in a different time zone, the fight started and ended while I was sleeping.
Whew, I came really really close to calling the question of Light Vs Sound a stupid one. And I nearly put on the gloves to get in the ring with Bianca over "Sound is Everything", having been absolutely captivated by 8mm, totally soundless prints of silent classics Nosferatu and Lost World in my teens. I put sound at 40% in my films, visuals at 60%, but I concede that is not true for all films. And I suspected she might well win, at that. Even where I didn't fully agree, I appreciated reading a different take, it would be boring if we all gave the same answers to every question.
Precisely Mr.Nick! BUT Maybe we should start a thread over light and sound, just to slap each other with white gloves over the importance of light or sound!
Though everyone agrees that they are both important, every one has a favorite!
Maybe next we could discuss Linch or Kubrick and discuss symbolism in cinema! That Blue velvet opening, could he be more obvious?!?!? or the first fifteen minutes of eyes with shut?!?!? Come onnnnn!!
it would be boring if we all gave the same answers to every question.
I trully hate carrey...
I actually enjoyed/managed to see man on the moon... but all his other comedies make me want to break shit up, and by shit I usually mean the face of the person that made me watch it!!!
