A work of art, as usual. What's the little nob sticking up in the middle for?
I think your looking at a screw head that helps the move the jaw open
Oh that is the part that when moved it will make the jaw move sideways
Hm. So is there a pivot or something in there? Push in on one side, the mouth moves one way, push in on the other side, the mouth moves in the opposite direction?
Sorry, don't mean to be nosey. Your stuff is always so intricate, though, so it's fun to sort of reverse engineer and figure out what you're up to.
Yea thats a pivot that is clamped on the shaft you see.
And the bottom piece on the shaft has a clamped which is the actual jaw pivot in it so when the top is moved front to back the jaw moves side to side.
Functionality aside, The way you layer brass components over the aluminum is quite pleasing, aesthetically. <wee little golf clap>
Thanks more to come!
