It is on its way since last week and hopefully shipping won't take too long.

I learned a lot in the making process and would probably change a couple of things next time around to get closer to the original design. Body is mostly made of Miliput and Foam clay, plexiglas for the glass elements and some card board and paper. He has a simple wire armature, a Brass Tube rigging point in the back and M3 nuts in the feet. His little antlers are animatable, too and connect to magnets i hid beneath.

Excited to see him come to life and share animation updates with you.

Alfred Painting Processhttps://stopmotionanimation.com/groups/stop-motion-stopmojam4/photos/Alfred-Painting-process2022-07-13T15:15:36.000Z2022-07-13T15:15:36.000ZKirsten Meinerthttps://stopmotionanimation.com/members/KirstenMeinert

These are some more process images from the little robot i designed and built for William Pakyntein to animate.

While making and painting Alfred i learned a lot, if i'd were to remake him now there is lots i would have done differently but i tried to stick to my original design as closely as i could. For me, this means cheap and not too much investment in time. I want to focus more on animation for this Jam and not props, sets and puppets.

These rockets are made from materials I found in my workshop scrapbox: PVC pipe (from a plumbing repair), wood dowels, Apoxie Sculpt modeling compound and some cardstock. Paint is rough, but may work for background objects. Build took an afternoon; painting 2-3 hours spread out over several days to allow coats to dry.
