Puppets were made from Sculpey and Fimo clays. I drilled and tapped a short steel bar with threads for the anchoring screw and molded it in place before baking. The head and base were held to the middle by a rubber band attached to hooks molded in. This allowed the head and torso to pivot freely and stay together. Eyes and mouths were drawn on bits of card glued to pieces of toothpicks, then inserted into holes in the face with tweezers to animate facial expressions.
