"Well i guess experience is what i'm basing this on - I have a full set of lenses available when i shoot but i'm often fighting over the 35mm for the sets, so will use the 28mm & 35mm the most - then occasional tight head shot on the…"

"The D lens would be great - you just need a cheap mount adaptor for the canon body - also the 550 is great so good choice - the 85mm is an amazing lens but i feel you might want to wait to get that as a 35mm would be better if your puppets are…"

"Well that would be cool - I'm interested in what your motor settings are for your focus and are you using any micro stepping??  Are you Arduino uno based? I'm trying my hardest to get by with just A4988's for this project however…"

"The DF tutorials and manual are pretty thin, and don't always refer to the basic unit, as they use a moco interface that allows them realtime moves. Happy to answer any questions I can help with."

"Phil, this is looking good. I really like the simplicity of your design. Funnily enough I also opted for aviation plugs, although I went for the slightly less fiddly 16mm versions! I have also made a focus axis, and previous experience suggested it…"
