trying to work with what you got (CAMERA)

I don't know if im in the same boat as some other people, but I have a camcorder. I have a newer unprofessial grade (for what else for an amateur) canon vixia hf r300 and I have started using SMP. The camera has hdmi and a mini usb port. Neither of them allow for a stream into stop motion pro. The computer doesn't recognize it as it for this. Is this something that has to be solved through the av port to a usb video adapter or is there some way that will keep the HD resolution? Did anyone… Continue

Help promote stop-motion and rally against dating violence.

A non-profit contacted me to help teach a group of middle school girls all the tricks of the trade of stop-motion and make a 30 second PSA within the scope of one semester. It immediately seemed like an impossible feat, but I found myself saying yes and now, very luckily, involved in a fantastic program.

DVD Tutorials

Don't know if people are aware but besides Kathi Zung's foam rubber puppet making dvd, there is now Larry Larson's ball and socket armature construction dvd and Stan Winston's school has a lot a terrific dvd's on makeup and monster creation (the Garage Monster dvds 1 and 2 are well suited for animation models).

stop frame animation- card cut out

hello im planning to make an animation using card cut outs, it will last aproximatly 90 seconds 

any advice, i heard recording the sound first is the best way to go. any help would be much apreciated.
