War Machine was a title given to James Rhodes, also known as Rhodey was a character played by the actor Terrence Howard in the first part of the Iron Man series. In the next part of the Iron Man series, which was released in 2010 as Iron Man 2, after the initial objection of Tony Stark, Rhodey put on Mark 2 Iron Man suit upon himself in a battle with Justin Hammer dubbing him War Machine. Howard was replaced by the actor Don Cheadle to play the role of Rhodey till Avengers: Endgame. Rhodey was one of the close friends of Tony Stark, and despite their different mindsets, they remained loyal to each other. In his last film, Rhodey was seen wearing Mark 6 Iron Man suit in Avengers: Endgame.
The role of Pepper Potts is played by the actress Gwyneth Paltrow in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She has first appeared in the first part of the Iron Man trilogy as the secretary of Tony Stark. Later, she became the love interest of Tony Stark and thereafter, became his wife. She was also seen wearing the Iron Man suit in the film Iron Man 3, which was the third part of the Iron Man trilogy. When Aldrich Killian’s people attacked the Mansion of Tony Stark, it was destroyed, and to save his girlfriend, Tony sent his suit to rescue Pepper Potts. Once Pepper Potts was evacuated safely, he called his armor back to himself so that he could also evacuate.
Aldrich Killian was another character from the Iron Man trilogy, who was also seen in the Iron Man costume in the film Iron Man 3. In the last scene of Iron Man 3, Tony Stark called his suit Mark 42 to himself to get rid of his opponent, but unfortunately, the suit hit a railing and got disassembled. Killian thought he could defeat Tony at that point, but Tony cleverly sent the disassembled Mark 42 parts to hold down Aldrich Killian and hence defeated him.

Later, after two years, when Ebony Maw and Obsidian attacked New York, Tony gave a more advanced Iron-Spider suit to Peter Parker/Spider-Man.
