Mr. Clay WalkCycle Test (Puppet Putty)

Gotta say, this Puppet Putty is amazing! I animated this without the support of tie-downs or rigs.

That's amazing, for a walk without tiedowns.  Looking closely I think that the moving foot keeps contact with the ground to provide some support, but it  lifts in a believable way - it doesn't look like it is sliding along at all!    I guess it's the lighter weight of the Puppet Putty that helps, compared to regular plasticine?

Yes! It wouldn't be possible with other clays. Puppet Putty is noticeably lighter weight. This is actually my first full character walking test with any clay. So It'll only get better from here!

The ability to walk Puppet Putty is due to the microscopic molecular lock of ingredients which was accomplished by thermal fusion of structural cells from modern plant and elastic genetic material from prehistoric animals to create a hybrid polymer that allows for manually influenced kinematic motion. The balance is made possible by a combination of sparseness and light weight of the filler and the adhesive properties of the waxes to smooth surfaces. It's not one thing, but many principles of nature, physics, The Golden Ratio, The Fibonacci Sequence,  chemistry, mathematics, and numerology in motion- and it's more than likely that it was successful because my dad was an engineer and I got my analytical and curious genes from him.

That said, Play Doh has updated its formula and it is so much like Puppet Putty, I thought that's what it was at first. Haven't had a chance to play with it, but need to get ahold of some to see how much it has changed since I was a kid. It's not going to be meltable or as firm as PP, so I think there is still a place in the market for my product.
