taking one frame at a time since 1999

Hi there I’m currently turning my room into a hybrid studio and seeing as how it’s the size of a large cardboard box, I’m having to be very particular about space. I’m using a wooden plank and ikea sawhorses as a table and have a couple lights, a camera, and a tripod. But I’m wondering if there’s any other quality of life equipment that some here think I might need that would be small enough to fit in this space, specifically, a chair. I know a lot of people animate standing up, but I sometimes like to be seated (and I just want a chair for my room) so I’m looking for an ergonomic solution with a small footprint that won’t break the bank (a lot of qualifiers I know). Anyone know where I could find something like this? Any help is appreciated.

I use a folding stool. When not in use, it can tuck under the plank on top of my Ikea sawhorses. (Yes, same set up!)

$12.99 at Target in US but probably lots of others out there.

I’m also looking for an office chair to use at a desk in the same room so it may have to be a bit sturdier than that but who knows maybe I’ll get both. Can I also ask what type/thickness of wood you use for your table? I’m trying to find something that I can drill through, is paintable, and won’t bend.

It's a 4' x 8' piece of plywood, 1/2" thick, reinforced with a 1"x2" wooden frame to prevent warping. I've been using it for years and have filled and refilled tie-down holes. Not exactly tiny but I can stand it on end and lean it against the wall when not in use.

I've found a drum stool is quite useful as long as you don't mind it not having a back, can be put away when you're not using and rotates nicely.
