What's good guys?
I'm Matthew, I've only really been animating for about half a year but I love it and really want to keep improving, and a place like this seems like it would offer some helpful guidance. I hope I can get to know people more, it's always really cool to find a group of like-minded people with similar interests.
Hello, pals! I am happy to be a part of this forum. I joined a little while ago when I was researching for a project, but now I actually have the time to be an active member! (Wild, right?)
I'm a recent art school graduate looking to get a job working in stop motion. Like so many others have already described, I was inspired by the amazing work before me. I'm showing my young age here, but I used to watch The Corpse Bride and Coraline on repeat when I was a kid. I re-discovered the art form in college when a scheduling conflict forced me into a stop motion class, and I haven't looked back since. It's hard to put my thumb on exactly why I love the medium, but I think it's that stop motion is one of the only art forms I know that actively brings things to life.
I have been spending my time applying to darn near every stop-motion-adjacent position I can find, but I'm also working on a couple of commissions, and now I'm planning my entry for STOPMO JAM 3! I can't wait to make new friends and see the cool stuff everyone's making. :)
Hello, I'm an experimental animator about to start on a new project using stop motion puppet animation for the first time - it's a steep learning curve for me and also lots of fun. I've made paint on glass, cut out and charcoal animations before, after doing a grad dip in animation at RMIT in Melbourne. I'm looking forward to learning from all the amazing the animators here!
Making my first stop motion feature called Inventors (When a bullheaded inventor's drive to win has explosive results with his quirky, new team, he must crack the code to working together or risk losing more than just the contest.) It is nearly finished and has taken over a year. I've watched some of your videos and you guys have done some amazing work. Learned a lot.
Hi! I'm Justin and I love stop motion. Since Covid hit I've been redirecting my love of filmmaking into learning stop motion techniques. I've been steadily working on building puppets and props for the past year and hopefully soon I can knock out a solid 3 minutes. I was really excited to find this community so hello all!
Hello everyone and thank you for accepting me in this forum. I am an illustrator and graphic designer, and recently I approached this fantastic world in an amateur way. I am here to understand, observe, learn and improve.
Thanks again for accepting me.
This is one of my last (the third experiment in my life) micro stop motion, hope it's not too bad.
